  1. The Ozone also known as triatomic OXYGEN is
  2. an unstable gas with a fresh odor, and is an
  3. active form of oxygen. Ozone is formed in the
  4. Ozone layer of the stratosphere by the action
  5. of solar ultraviolet light on oxygen. The 
  6. ozone layer plays an inportant role in 
  7. perventing most ultraviolet and other 
  8. high-energy radiation, which is harmful to
  9. life, from penetrating to the earths surface.
  10. Nitric oxide is feared to be the man-made
  11. pollutant also known as AEROSOL that has
  12. caused the depletion of stratospheric ozone.
